Welcome the Washington Royals to the USJL Family

We are delighted to welcome Gurucharan Chitna, Rajit Passey, and Hitesh Patel as the franchise owners of the Washington Royals in the US Junior League!

We proudly introduce the leadership behind the Washington Royals, a powerhouse trio blending sports passion, community commitment, and business excellence:

🔹 Rajit Passey – A former junior cricketer from Punjab, India, and current owner of Baltimore Royals, multiple cricket clubs in the DMV, and a team in India’s Shere Punjab Trophy. He also heads Intersoft Data Labs and co-founded BRSS Academy to uplift youth cricket in the U.S.

🔹 Gurucharan Chitna – A university-level cricketer from Andhra who played in Boston, Minneapolis, and DC. He’s a founding member of the American National Cricket League (ANCL) and was part of the first USA Cricket Ethics Committee, committed to developing cricket in the DMV.

🔹 Hitesh Patel – A local business owner and cricket enthusiast, Hitesh operates Baltimore Management Hospitality (owning several Dunkin' locations) and is deeply involved in youth cricket through the Baltimore Royals Cricket Club, where both his sons play.

Together, they bring a shared vision to grow sports at the grassroots level, foster talent, and build a new legacy in the USJL with the Washington Royals. 💜💛
